House Managers checked in 98 families in February, and families stayed a total of 1,352 nights! Volunteers:
Prepped 98 rooms with Welcome Bags and a blanket
Provided 41 new families a tour to help them settle in
Helped 29 families from outside of our immediate service area learn about the Rochester community
Supported outreach for 3 additional families (food, activity bags, blankets, and gift cards)
“Everyone who volunteers at the House has a genuine and pure heart,” said Deanna, Elianna’s mom.

Med City Marathon Water Stop
We will be the beneficiaries of the Med City Marathon events once again. With that, we are looking for extra hands to help with the various events.These are great opportunities for a family or a group of friends or colleagues to help support the House! Please reach out to Katie if you are interested in supporting any of these events.
Sunday, May 18 6:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. (approx. time) – Location TBD (stay the duration or help for a portion of the time, such as 6:45 – 10 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
Board Game Nights
Are you someone who enjoys playing board games? Would you like to join our Family Activities Fun and participate in playing games with families? We have Board Game nights on Tuesday nights starting on March 12 and are looking for volunteers to help with these nights. If you are available every or every other Tuesday 6 – 8:30 p.m. with an interest in board games, please reach out to Katie or Meghan.
Become An Ambassador
Help us share about the mission of the House with others! Throughout the year, we receive requests from groups for a Ronald McDonald House representative to come speak with their classroom, group, or business about who we are and what we do, along with opportunities to participate in volunteer recruitment events. We are looking for more Ambassadors to help us with these requests. Please reach out to Katie if interested or would like to learn more!

Barbara Henoch was born in East Africa and raised in England before coming to the U.S. Barb was a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House for more than 25 years. Elgibility:
You are a current and active volunteer
You have contributed more than 50 hours of documented service
You are a high school or GED graduate
You are working towards furthering your education or profressional background
You have been accepted by and are enrolled in a program (course of study) at an accredited college, university or technical school
