The Weekend Meal Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating weekend meal service (serving between 40-100 guests per day), scheduling and overseeing volunteers and organizations as it relates to daily meal service operations, and ensuring proper training and guidance is provided and complies with safe food handling protocols.
Work Hours:
- Non-exempt, part-time (no benefits), 15-18 hours per week
- Friday and Saturday: 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. (varies)
- Sunday: 3 – 9 p.m.
- Some holidays required
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to function as a team member
- Ability to plan large group meals and follow detailed recipes for group serving
- Warm, intuitive personality
- Detail oriented and organized
- Excellent communication and assessment skills
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Dependable, able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to be flexible and function autonomously
NOTE: Serve Safe Food Protection Manager Certification is required for this position. If applicant does not already have this certification, it is required that the applicant complete and pass this training within 3 months of employment start date.
