From May through July, McDonald’s restaurants in western Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and northern Iowa, raised more than $355,000 via Round-Up for RMHC to support children and families receiving services from four regional Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters.
Courtesy Corporation – a family-owned business that operates 64 McDonald’s throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa – launched a three-month competition across all its stores to increase their focus on Round-Up for RMHC. When you eat at McDonald’s, employees ask customers to round up to the nearest dollar to help families with sick children served by Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The goal was to raise at least $50 each day and boost Courtesy Corporation’s ambitious effort to raise more than $1.5 million by March 2025.
“The competition was a huge success, and we can’t thank our customers enough for rounding up,” said Wendy Lommen, Courtesy Corporation. “Our employees are motivated by the RMHC mission and are inspired by our valued customer support, who make the difference. We hope you know that they ask because they truly care! We are very proud of our partnership with RMHC and will use the momentum from this challenge to reach our company goal of $1.5 million by next March!”
The initiative supported RMHC Midwest MN, WI, IA, as well as RMHC of Madison, RMHC of Marshfield, and RMHC Upper Midwest. As RMHC Midwest MN, WI, IA continues to serve more families than ever before, Courtesy Corporation’s customers and employees prove that a little change can make a big difference.
“We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support from Courtesy Corporation, their dedicated employees, and the generous customers across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa,” said Nick Mueller, CEO of RMHC Midwest MN, WI, IA. “Their collective efforts truly embody the spirit of community, making it possible for us to provide comfort and care to more families during their most challenging times.”
